Promote Students’ Success

We are aware that a fixed mindset significantly impacts students’ success in learning, for example, mathematics learning. A fixed mindset often instills fear in students and encourages avoidance of challenging tasks, resulting in a reluctance to challenge themselves. Consequently, this hinders the development of their growth mindset and restricts their learning potential. In an effort to cultivate students’ growth mindset, we are examining and addressing students’ success through the intricate relationship between students’ emotions and their learning.

  • Improving Students Attitude

Generally, the higher a student’s GPA, the more likely the student is to retain. To enhance student performance in learning and boost their GPAs, an integrated approach is essential. Incorporating interactive learning methodologies like hands-on experiments, group projects, and real-world applications fosters deeper understanding. Personalized tutoring and mentorship programs provide tailored support, addressing individual challenges effectively. Utilizing technology, such as educational apps and virtual labs, enhances engagement and comprehension. Additionally, fostering a growth mindset cultivates resilience and persistence in tackling complex concepts. By nurturing curiosity and offering ample resources, students not only excel academically but also develop a lifelong passion for STEM as well as other disciplines, ensuring sustained success in their learning journey.

  • Growth Mindset Development

The growth mindset approach to student success in learning has proven effective when selecting both mastery and specific learning methods. Compared to traditional approaches, the development of mastery-based and specific-based learning is necessary for fostering a growth mindset. However, how can individuals with a fixed mindset be shifted towards a growth mindset through these methods? In other words, how can we help students transform themselves in a scientific manner to approach success?
