I am a lifelong learner. Upon arriving in America, I realized I couldn’t speak any English on my first day here. Despite reading numerous English articles and excelling in English courses at school, I foresaw ongoing struggles in my journey to learn English from that point onward.

I changed my major from Mathematics as I found the difficulty wasn’t Mathematics but English, and the new major took me countless times as it is completely far apart from my old one, and I had to deal with obscurities starting from each vocabulary and terminology I never knew even in my native language.

My career isn’t based on the new major I’ve chosen, but rather on the old one I’ve continued. This path has significantly enriched my learning journey, prompting the need for updates in my existing knowledge of mathematics, technology, and fields related to education.

Nevertheless, I found an amuse thing: what I have learned doesn’t put me off the track previously I am engaged in. Besides, I used what I have learned to solve lots of practical problems. My teaching philosophies are not unmodified. There are plenty of examples that I can illustrate achievement and teaching insights I have completed through the past years from next pages.

Considering my first master’s degree, it was obtained after I quitted my teaching job where I had been for over ten years. I enjoyed math learning, so I took plenty of advanced level math courses. However, I didn’t think it is enough as I found I could apply math knowledge and skills to the real life and help me solve issues that I were unable to solve at the first time I came across. Then I chose to keep studying math courses such as statistics.

My view about the math world was changed. The new field promotes me to pursue more achievements in statistics field. I self-studied python, and python programming, but not found its usage until I began to learn Data Science. I experienced the beauty of math and its related course learning since it makes our life alive. Math learning world isn’t silent. Math teaching is to let math learning visible. I would like to devote all my time to such a spiritual world.
