For example, regarding graphing quadratic function, students must know, firstly, how to find vertex, intercepts, opening, symmetry of a quadratic function in both general and standard form, and also be able to use graphing calculator to analyze behavior of the quadratic function, finally, to describe it on the complex plane. Considering their difficulty in directly working on the graphing problem, I design multiple questions, i.e., for the problem 1. Students need to show the skills of calculating vertex and intercepts either from plugging the given values into vertex formula or establishing an equation to find the roots of the equation in order to find the intercepts under the complex system.
